What are turf weeds?

Turf weeds are unwanted plants competing with your lawn for sunlight, water and nutrients. They include grassy weeds and broadleaf weeds, and can quickly outcompete desirable grass when left untreated.

Hand-pulling can disturb the soil and trigger more germination. A targeted program using selective or pre-emergent herbicides is usually the smarter way to protect your turf.
